What’s it like living in a multi-cat household? Sometimes it’s interspecies war. Sometimes it models the UN.

When I left the house yesterday to go to work for about an hour, Mom was still lying in bed with a couple of the cats sleeping around her. Monday is actually our Sunday. However, I have a client that can only get to the shop on Mondays, so I make an exception for her. [...]

Every two weeks we launder our bedding and the many blankets around the house that are the cat’s beds. Sometime Sunday morning, we strip our beds and begin a laundry marathon that lasts all day. It isn’t always easy when we strip the bed in the living room because it’s also the cat’s bed and [...]

Never have I seen a blog quite like this one. It’s exactly the opposite of my blog; it’s an homage to one, beautiful cat. The Daily Doings of Kitty is an adorable site featuring daily pictures of a cat named Kitty. Her loving human shares his loving thoughts of his beloved cat in little snippets [...]

When Mom and I get home after working a particularly difficult day, we’ll spend a few minutes ranting about how awful it is to work with the public. Our emotions are in the red zone, we’re gesticulating wildly, our voices rise in angry tones, but most importantly, we’re ignoring the cats. You want some good [...]

As my mother often reminds me, I am my father’s daughter. I’m thankful that I got his analytical and skeptical mind to question everything, attention to detail when I’m working on a project, and loyalty through difficult times. And, I’m quite proud of that; my dad was a great guy. However, he had one annoying [...]

If she behaves herself, Smudge is ever-present on my computer desk. Perhaps this isn’t a good idea, but she’s more respectful than Ariel, and she’ll usually just lie down and sleep after a while. However, before she settles down, she vies with the monitor and mouse for my attention. Back and forth in front of [...]

During Thursday night, one of the cats had wakened me several times because it was using the litter more than normal and making some rather rude noises as it did. After the third time I was awakened, I stumbled out of bed, flipped on the light, and saw that it was Zoe who was suffering [...]

Cats That Look Like Hitler is a bit controversial (as many of the comments on the ‘We Hate Kitlers’ page can attest), but humorously touches on a sensitive subject. As the title of the blog suggests, it’s filled with pictures of cats that bear distinguishing marks resembling the hair and moustache styles that the leader [...]

I can put up with the constant messes outside the litter boxes, the aggressive, alpha behavior, and even loosing several square feet of my bed to keep my cats comfortable. However, there’s one pet peeve I’ve got with my pet cats; I hate when they jump up onto something, right in front of me, when [...]
